Professional packing
Bring the item in and we pack it — a box that fits, and padding cut for what is going inside it.
More in packing
We pack it for you
Hand us the item and we do the rest. We keep over fifty box sizes in stock, including the awkward ones — art and picture boxes, bike boxes, laptop boxes — so most jobs start with a box that already fits. Foam and padding are cut to the piece in front of us rather than pulled off a shelf in one standard thickness.
When nothing in stock is right, we build a box around the item instead — see custom boxes. If you would rather pack it yourself, the same materials are for sale in the store — see the boxes & supplies page.
Things we pack often
Artwork and framed pieces
Canvases and framed prints get corner protection and a rigid box; flat and rolled work travels in a tube. We pack pieces that were printed here as readily as ones you bring in.
Computers and electronics
Desktops, monitors, laptops and instruments are padded on every face and boxed so nothing shifts. Back your data up and remove anything you would not want to travel — we cannot replace what is on a drive.
Antiques and collectibles
Fragile, irreplaceable and odd-shaped items are wrapped piece by piece, then packed so the item never touches the outer wall of the box.
Bicycles
Bike boxes are one of the sizes we keep in stock, padded out so the frame and wheels sit clear of each other. Bring the bike in and we pack it.
Furniture and freight
We accept furniture and freight shipments for outbound shipping — bring or send us the measurements and we will work out what it takes. Ask for a quote before you move the piece.
Questions we get
Do I have to pack it before I come in?
No. Packing it for you is the service — an unpacked item is what we would rather see, because we can choose the box and the padding around the real thing.
Can you ship it once it is packed?
Yes. Every location ships FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL and Meest, so the packing and the label happen in one visit — see shipping for the carrier options.
Is the packing covered if something breaks?
Coverage comes from the declared value you choose at ship time with your carrier, not from the packing itself. We help you file the claim.
