A few shelves of things made by small businesses near us, next to the cards and the office supplies.
We see the same moment over and over: somebody has a box to send and nothing to put in it, or a card to sign and nowhere to buy one. So the front of the store carries what that moment needs — and where we could stock a small local business instead of a national brand, we did.

Cards, postcards and mailers
Greeting cards for the occasions people actually forget, postcards, and decorative mailers for when the thing you are sending should not arrive in a plain brown box. We keep them in the store, so you can buy the card, write it, and send it without leaving the building. We carry cards by Lorraine Holland, iambibby and Cecily Chastain.
Office supplies
We keep the small supplies that go with mailing and paperwork, for the days when running out of one thing would otherwise cost you a trip across town. Ask us for what you need — if we do not have it, we will say so rather than send you looking.
